One night 9 hour session. At 3 am I stared at the computer completely dumbfounded. I had a final table stack in the 15k 10r on tilt and 10 6 person on stars. Out 27th in tilt 10r and 7 (FT bubble in 6 max). 9 hour session down ~200. Makeup around 2.4k. If this was 3 yeas ago I would have won borh tables in full domination.
My wife has lost her job next year and woke up this morning expecting that i had won both tournies.
She said, Why didn't you win? Why ae you playing? Your always used to win....
Blah Blah...
Now the money really matters and the love of the game must stat to truly turn into dollar signs and CONFIDENCE.

Hm. So Far... This Year Poker-wise
Two pictures of this year so far. I have spent this year trying to get ,y back back to where is was June of 2007 where I profited 50k solely from MTT's.Huge Mistake. Have I been working on my game? Am i as mentally fresh? Have the other players improved their game?

What does a negative ROI look like?
Check the two pictures. I got it for 2010. My lifetime MTT ROI is still over 60% but does that matter.....?
1. It means that I am a winning player.
2. I am not currently playing like a winning player?
What is missing? I think it is a matter of will and really wanting it. I need to be hungry. I have been settling for short term small edges deep in tournies instead of waiting for better spots to make it into the real money. That is what separate a good player from a great one. I want to be great.
I have serious issues in self image and believe I am destined to be great at anything I apply myself to.
I personally need to finish February as a +ROI player for the year. This is the goal.
Thanks for reading..... (Like anyone reads this) lol

Appending my 2010 Goals!
Appending my 2010 Goals!
1. I am not under no uncertian terms to play 2/4 or 3/6 PL or NL omaha. I found a loophole last night. Even though I degen's $80 into $509. This is not the way I need to be playing! with a 25k BR I can go play 2/4 or 3/6.
Come on Rubbba-dub dub I can not be in that tub!

2010 Goals - Poker and Life (everyone else is doing it, Why shouldn't I?)

Personal:
1. Lose Between 20-25 pounds. I currently weigh 193 pounds and I would be very comfortable around the 165-170 range.
2. Drink and Hurt myself less. This includes getting rid of the very occaisional cigerette and really trying to live a truly healthy lifestyle. My brain is tied to my physical well being and I find it harder to make healthy decisions the more I abuse myself.
3. Continue to be the best possible parent and husband I can be! I care and love my wife deeply and am really recommitting myself to our relationship and want it to work.
POKER! POKER! POKER! POKER! POKER! POKER! POKER! POKER! POKER! POKER! POKER! POKER!POKER! POKER! POKER! POKER!POKER! POKER! POKER! POKER!POKER! POKER! POKER! POKER!POKER! POKER! POKER! POKER!POKER! 1. No more tilt. No more giving away my bankroll while drinking and mad at the world and making myself the biggest fish around. I am a tournament and SNG player. I have no business playing cash above .5/1 NL.
2. Build a 30k BR by year end after paying off 30k in credit card debt.
3. Play 5 live events this year with one being a 10k buy-in (pref. the Main Event). i feel like I have a ton of unifinished business in the poker world.
I feel like a failed experiemnt in getting backed relaly took my heart of of owning folks at the virtual felt. Last night for 5 hours I was the best player in the tournament 9or I was playing like the best.)
4. Play like I can be the best. Never give up making a loose call rather then outplaying my opponents. Do not leave a cent on the table. Realize I am playing for myself and moreso making my family life better.

Be a good man!
So a Strange thing happened.
After diluging myself in poker blogs, poker news and day dreams of poker. I just could not shake it. I had to play some poker. Played six tournies. One final table. final tabled the 8 pm PST. $30 with 520 entries. 6th place around 1k. 6 hours later I was falling asleep at the final table. How in the world do you wake up at 6 am, work all day, be a father and a husband, the start playing poker and be focussed at 2:30am trying to close out victory? Wanted to pour coffee but thar would have meant zero sleep and work would have greatly suffered.

End Game - HM.

2010
I meant to come and assert myself at the wsop. my weakness and self destruction will not stop me this year. I wanna play poker!
Saturday, August 22, 2009
OK... Ultimate bet beginning the poker comeback!

OK! OK! check 1,2.
i have scrubbed the dust from my shirt-sleeves and performed a double pirouet to shake the rust off. POKER. POKER, POKER, POKER.
My life has been lacking the competitive and challenge that poker brings. I came home from an eleven hour work day and for some reason Ultimate bet came to mind. i try and log into my rubbarose account no avail..... 3 hours on the phone with customer service and on chat, I am informed rubbarose on UB is no more.
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
buh bye rubba. i cried, I wailed, I shook and I shaked.
then, then I decided it was catharsis time, hello pheonix risinig from the ashes.. I was given some yourney dollars for my efforts.... some sat's and sng's later.
at heater of a .5/1.00 NL 4 buy in win.
I decided it was time to get back to bread and butter. The MTT.
50 dollar entry fee 10k guaranteed KO tounrey. 11 knock outs at 5 dollara a pop. nice!
CL with three to play! K6 <>
This blog is not that much about ending of the tounrey just completely running out of steam in the 5th and sixth hour of the tourney. I had complete control over last two tables, then just got tired, I had woken up 21 hours before and worked and parented all day I was tired. I could have made a cup of coffee or downed an energy drink, but i would have worth nothing come today where we had an important first day at my daughters new preschool.
My newest goal is to prove that I can be a winning successful poker player while completely having my life as a parent and husband in control.

it is these impatient moves that have really taken me from being a dominating player to just another tilt monkey.
where in the past i wuold have looked at my stack and seeni ts value versus the field now I feel the need to push a coinflip and take the game out of my hands and into the flop.
